MPower Consultant - Aurukun

About the role

The MPower Consultant is the first point of contact for Opportunity Hub clients and will identify the client need, referring them to the appropriate Hub service. Consultants will explain the benefits of the MPower program and facilitate client sign up, also encouraging clients to access a range of Opportunity Products which will assist to build client financial management capabilities.  Consultants will provide client training and support to use the Self Service Kiosk to access online and phone-based services, and to use a suite of Money Management Tools.

The major accountabilities are to provide clients with professional support in managing financial problems, assist clients to independently use the Self Service Kiosk and advise on the benefits and suitability of Opportunity Products, building confidence in all aspects of daily financial management.

Positive Parenting Consultant - Aurukun

About the role

The Positive Parenting Consultant is responsible for oversighting the day to day operations of the three parenting programs running within It takes a village to raise a child.  These are Baby College, Positive Kids and Strong Families. The Consultant provides technical expertise and coaching support to the Positive Parenting team in delivering Triple P to community participants. This role reports to the Program Delivery Manager.

Construction/Project Manager - Home Pride and Pride of Place

About the role

The Construction/Project Manager will be responsible for the delivery of the Pride of Place and Home Pride Opportunity Products.

For Pride of Place, the role will include construction management, project co-ordination and supervision of POP staff across four remote community sites. The Construction/Project Manager will provide technical construction assistance, manage project budgets, review at ‘hold’ points, weekly reporting and support the Opportunity Hub Managers with work plans and site checks. For Home Pride, the role will include coordinating POP staff for assistance with Home Pride projects and workshops, assisting Home Pride staff with partner’s work plans and general project management.

Project Coordinator - Australian Institute of Direct Instruction

About the role

Based in Sydney or Cairns, this post is available initially on a short-term contract with the option of permanency at the end of the contract period for the right candidate. The Project Coordinator is responsible for providing project administration and research coordination support to the CEO, Project Manager, AIDI staff and partners.   The major accountabilities of the position are operational support, project administration, research and relationship management. This role is responsible to the Project Manager and has no direct reports.

Business Development and Strategy Manager - Australian Institute for Direct Instruction

About the role

Based in Sydney or Cairns (travel between); this post is available initially on a short-term contract with the option of permanency at the end of the contract period for the right candidate. The Business Development and Strategy Manager will work closely with the leaders of Cape York Partnerships to deliver a business case on the organisation.  The Business Development and Strategy Manager will lead AIDI s strategic planning and stakeholder engagement and business development processes and help establish AIDI as a leading institution in Australian education. This will involve building the AIDI team, establishing processes, systems and supports representing the organisation to the media, business development and promoting AIDI to education and political leaders.  The role may also involve overseeing school project implementations, negotiating service agreements, contract monitoring and providing operational leadership to the small but growing AIDI team.

Project Manager - Australian Institute for Direct Instruction

About the role

Based in Sydney or Cairns (travel between), this post is available initially on a short-term contract with the option of permanency at the end of the contract period for the right candidate. The Project Manager will work closely with existing team members to assist in the establishment of the AIDI organisation. This will involve leading on the development of our organisation’s business model and education policy by overseeing the research and analysis of complex education policy issues and leading the strategic planning process. The Project Manager will also be responsible for pursuing new clients, engaging with relevant stakeholders, promoting Direct Instruction and the AIDI organisation to the education community, recruiting additional staff when required, interacting with media representatives and overseeing the development of an evidence base for Direct Instruction in Australia.  The role will also involve managing the administrative, financial and legal aspects of starting a new business.
