Ready, Set, Go — Student Education Trusts (SETs)
Student Education Trusts enable parents to financially support their child's education and development "from birth to graduation".
Student Education Trust staff work with parents and families to manage funds to meet their child's education needs.
Student Education Trust staff also work with education and child development services to set appropriate expectations of a child's needs with families and works with education material suppliers to improve family access to educational goods and services.
Objectives
- Parents and families make provision for their child's material educational needs as a priority investment, within their means
- Children have access to quality educational goods and services
- Parents taking responsibility and meeting their child's educational needs becomes the social norm in the community
